Reiki Treatment

A
Reiki treatment generally lasts approximately 60/70 minutes; it depends entirely on the needs of the receiver. It involves the Practitioner treating the whole body in a holistic way, front and back. Four to six sessions are recommended at weekly intervals for maximum results, however one treatment will be of benefit to the receiver but the effects will be shorter, the momentum of Reiki needs to build up.
The client lies on a couch, or sits on a chair, if none of these are available then a bed or even the floor will be acceptable. It is unnecessary for the client to remove any clothing; a blanket is usually placed over the person allowing them to feel warm and secure. It is beneficial to have a calm and quiet place in which to give a treatment, soft meditative music helps the client relax.
T

he Practitioner connects to the Energy and places their hands on and above the body encouraging stillness and relaxation. Sometimes heat or tingling in areas being treated is felt; coloured lights can also drift in and out of their consciousness. Nothing is predictable as no two treatments are the same; it is individual and intensely personal.
All illnesses can be treated with Reiki as there are no contra-indications, the symptoms of a chronic illness can be relieved by the client becoming emotionally settled and their body relaxing, returning to its natural state. Depression, insomnia and fear based illnesses and other non-physical illnesses can also benefit from Reiki. Stress is a word familiar in all sorts of sections of the community, when stressed the immune system weakens leaving a person prone to ill health. Reiki brings about calm and so effectively deals with the stress, bringing clarity of thought making decision making much easier.
Reiki calms; Reiki relaxes; Reiki gives a strong sense of well being; Reiki will never harm anyone or anything.
